PROJECTS
Junior Webmaster at DELA
I did it! I landed my first real job in November 2017!
The online marketing team at DELA gave me the chance to put my newly acquired skills into practice. I became the right wing of the two online marketers of the team.
DELA is the funeral insurance market leader in Belgium and the Netherlands.
My workdays at the DELA HQ in Antwerp consist of keeping the DELA website and the 64 funeral house websites up-to-date with SiteCore and Selligent, in close cooperation with our digital agency. In addition, I assist the online marketeers for strategy and content for various projects. Finally, I'm responsible for the technical support of MyDELA (sign-in space for clients to modify their policy and their last will), ingedachten.be (memorial website where people can send condolences to the families of deceased loved ones) and the Online Toolkit (marketing tracking tools and content for brokers).

Internship for Marketing and Communication dept. at O-I Europe in Switzerland
For the internship to get my bachelor's degree in Cross-Media Management, I decided to go all out. I was looking for a great experience, an adventure, something that could potentially give me a boost for my future career. Switzerland seemed like a very promising country, with great potential for me.
O-I, the world-leading glass manufacturer came back to me, saying someone with my skills set might be useful for a big, innovating project they just started working on. They were especially interested in storytelling and content creation.
After agreeing on what they had in mind for me, I packed my laptop and my snowboard, got in my car and drove to the land of mountains, chocolate, and cheese.
The internship was a success! I was given the opportunity to write the content for their new e-catalog. After carefully studying the trends in their industry, I participated in the creation of a logical structure of stories and content. Doing this, I worked closely with the Marketing and Communication team and the Belgian agency that put the pieces together. It was an amazing learning experience that made me feel ready to enter the work field.

XMMINT UNICEF
Unicef gave us the unique opportunity to work on a real business case. My team and I had to come up with a new strategy to attract and keep new loyal donators. This was an international competition between 5 countries: Belgium, UK, Spain, France, and Poland. We took the approach of the younger generation that’s becoming immune to emotional advertising. Unicef will work with the solutions we provided for the challenges they are facing. We may not have won the competition but we did get credit for our approach, presenting skills and storytelling.

Scrum Management & Social Objects project for LEDsky
In the context of the courses Scrum Management and Social Objects we were assigned with the task of developing a new online strategy for LEDsky, a Belgian retailer in LED-lights.
First, we analysed the online assets they already possessed and why some aspects seemed to have a lack of ROI. During scrum meetings, we searched for solutions on how they could expand their reach and accomplish the goals they want. We did this both for the B2C and the B2B aspect of the company. After this research, we presented our ideas and handed over a document that explained our suggestions to LEDsky.
In the second part of the project, we made visual representations of our ideas. For instance, we composed visual representations of web pages and social posts. We also edited a video. This video tells a story of evolution in how we use light. The call to action is meant to encourage the audience to be part of the revolution, to go for LED.
During the presentation of these social objects, our teachers and, more importantly, the business owner of LEDsky were very pleased with our work.
