LIFE EXPERIENCES
Here are some of the things I did before my Cross Media Management studies.
The skills I acquired through these experiences are mostly soft skills, but certainly quite useful for my professional life.

Student-Officer at the Royal Military Academy
I've been in the military for three years.
I started with a preparatory year with high frequency of maths, French, Dutch, history and physics, combined with a high level physical education and military exercices. I did this year to prepare myself to the admission exams for the Royal Military Acacdemy.
I passed the admission exam and got in to the Royal Military Academy in Brussels. There I studied Social and Military Sciences, which is a little bit of everything basically. I had a lot of law courses, sociology, psychology, methodology and other social courses, but also electricity, physics, maths and statistics were in the program. Not to forget the management courses, high level language courses and the military courses.
Next to the academic part, there is the physical training part, which requires a lot of self-discipline. During the holidays we went on camp to learn the field work of an officer: leadership, quick decision-making, teamwork, etc.
I had to quit at the end of the second year, but I acquired a lot of very useful skills.
Scout Leader in French speaking Boy Scouts
I've been a scout since as long as I can remember. After 11 years as a member, I became a scout leader.
I first started as a Cub Leader, this is the group from 6 to 12 years old. I did this for 3 years. It was a load of fun but a great responsability to be in charge of up and about 40 kids.
After that I became a leader of the trasition year between Boy Scout and Scout Leader. In 2014-2015, we organised a project in Cuba, which was amazing and a wonderful learning experience. Check it out on the website I created: iscubatime.wordpress.com
The year after that I became Section Leader of the same group. During this year we planned a trip to Croatia to work in the Kuterevo Bear Refuge. A second year with a lot of new experiences.
I really enjoyed being a scout leader, but I figured now is the time to work on my professional carreer.
